 Peggy Clark Lumpkins lives and paints in a garden in
the woods of the Maine Central Hghlands. She has been painting there since 1987.
Born in 1958 in New York City, she went to art
schools there and in San Francisco, and Washington,
D.C. for 16 years. She acheived her Master Weaver's Degree in 1986, and for many years most of her paintings were woven. She has focused solely on canvas and paint since 2000. Since she has been
in Maine she has traveled around the United States exhibiting her work in art shows. She spends a lot
of her time in the company of flowers, growing and
painting them. She has been painting all her life.
